So to recap,
I heard that makes you skinnier

No JaD, no more Mexican Coke. Looking back, that picture of my fridge just showed my massive problems. I have had a soda or a glass of iced tea, or any fruit juice in five weeks. Drinking only water allowed me to drop ten pounds without any change but that. 5% of my body weight lost, just by not drinking soda...too easy...

Actually Pyramider I will. I used to eat out every meal. I just don't do that as much anymore. Instead of restaurant reviews, I'll be giving reviews on my own recipes and entrees from My Fit Foods. I may do one about a healthy menu item I find as well. Eating healthy doesn't mean giving up what you love...

Actually I don't care about the people. I'm being selfish. I have hobbied a grand total of one time in the past three months. Part of the reason for that is because we have an over abundance of fat whores here in Houston, being one of the fattest cities in the US. It's time to stop...so I can get laid again...because I don't pay fat chicks to fuck...end of story...

P.S.-On second thought, if you want help, send me a PM and I'll see what advice I can give... Originally Posted by Wakeuр

I knew one girl who was very skinny. Come to find out she was bulimic. So one day they had a party for her with all the bells and whistles and all her bulimic friends were invited.

Finally, for the climax of the party, they had the cake jumping out of the girl.

I have to admit that I heard a really good, very topical fat joke, which I can relate because I'm fat, and I don't find it offensive. (Have to have a sense of humor about life and not be politically correct all the dang time.)

Health assessment says I'm fat. I expected them to put me on a cardio program but to my surprise I'm soon to start resistance training. The trainer my company hired to get us fatasses in shape is an amazonian brunette. FML.
I agree Fancy...it's fun poking fun at ourselves.

Please...you knew that was never going to happen...and her most recent post about making a lifestyle change being hard and taking time is just another of her excuses to stay fat and she knows it...
Wakeup, I gained about 15 pounds in the last year. Before reading this thread, I decided that I wasn't happy not being able to pull my jeans over my hips, so I decided that I was going to start somewhat of a diet. I can't eat all the fruits & veggies that are recommended for nutrition and to assist in weight loss/control. I just don’t like them enough to eat them all the time.

Instead I’ve cheated a little. I take a multivitamin called Ultra Preventative & it comes with 700 mg of fruit & veggies. I also started IsAgenix, (not the weight loss program), but the protein shake. I add Isafruits, Cleanse for life, and Ionix supreme to my shake and I have one or two of these a day.

I cleaned out the fridge and got rid of all unhealthy foods. The only things that are available for me to eat are healthy choices. I hate cardio with a passion and if I go back to my personal trainer, she’ll kick my butt and give me a hell of a lot of cardio. Instead, to prepare myself for her, I’m doing my own workout routines that incorporate enough cardio within a 30 minute workout.

Everything is great during the day. The problem starts when I take my sleeping pills and I’m awake for a while before they kick in. I wake up the next morning and find a dish in the sink and then wonder what I ate that late at night. I think I figured out last night’s late night snack, mini whole wheat bread & weight watchers cream cheese. Even though these are healthy snacks, they’re not very healthy at 11 pm or so.

Now, tell me how do I prevent from eating anything at that hour when I’m obviously hungry?

Why should you not eat when you want to? That's the problem, people think they have to eat certain things at certain times to lose weight. That's bullshit. Eat at 11:00 if you want, no problem, just make sure that if you're going to eat again before bed, that you leave enough calories out of the rest of your meals to make sure that eating again isn't going to put you over your daily limit.

If you don't like vegetables and fruits, don't eat them. Eating to improve bodily health and eating to lose weight are two entirely different things, I've said this from the beginning. It's not about adjusting WHAT you eat, it's adjusting HOW MUCH you eat. Set a calorie goal per day and stick to it.

One thing I will mention is this. One of the reasons why people tend to confuse eating healthy with losing weight is because of our appetites. We tend to overheat, and we have a are time trying to break that habit, so people try to switch to lower calorie "healthier" foods where they can eat more and take in fewer calories, it's called volumetrics. It's much harder eating 1/4 of a Quarter Pounder with Cheese (125 calories), 1/4 of your large French fries (125 calories) and 1/4 of your large Coke (75 calories) to get a 350 calorie or less meal than it is to eat one full Chicken Tikka Masala from MyFitFoods for the same calories. It is possible though, it just takes willpower, which most fat people don't have. Knowing this, people tend to "overeat" using "healthy foods" with a lower calorie per gram ratio to try to stay under their daily calorie limit.

So, two things. One, whether or not you "like" something is irrelevant. You either eat what you want and suffer the consequences of not being able to eat very much in a day because of the calories involved, or you adjust your "likes" and "dislikes" to fit your idea of what of want yourself to be. Two, eat whenever you want, just make sure that if you do, you leave that extra space in your calorie plan by eating less during the day.

I've started my exercise/nutrition regimen couple of months ago and pretty much buy fresh veggies/meat every day just for that particular day.

It takes time and planning and in my case I am actually eating MORE food than i did before, since i don't want to just drop weight, I am trying to build muscle mass.
