Thecfe got exactly what she deserved. She broke rules. Where does she get off requiring guys to hand their reviews over to her before posting them on the board? She was obviously trying to control the information that gets put out. That goes against everything this board is designed to accomplish which is the sharing of true and accurate information.

A review or any other info about a provider is for the hobbyists benefit so that we can make an informed decision of who to see. If a provider happens to benefit from a good review then great, she deserves it but review is not supposed to be done solely to drum up business for a provider.

Sharing ros comments with providers only encourages the pussy whipped suck-ups like blowpop to embellish what they write in hopes that they'll win some brownie points with a provider. In the end it devalues the integrity of the board and data bank of information, and we all lose.

I said this long ago, the Houston forums are controlled by about 10 alpha male posters.

For those who do not know it, the penalty for rudeness is only 2 points. And it takes 25 points to get the vacation. Ever notice where there have been some real jerks on the board who are very active, then you barely hear from them for a while. They are waiting for points to drop off. It is a game to them to see how close they can get and still be here.

And let me say this, you would not like it if we followed the guidelines and treated them as rules. Rules are inflexible,

Just for instance, by the strict rule #3, Dear John in a previous post insulted the Houston mods in an open forum. Anyone who quoted his post and did not say he was wrong also insulted the mods., by repeating what he said. By us using guidelines, we can take the view that DJ truly believes what he said and was not trying to insult us. Thus no points are necessary .

This is my opinion on it, but I have been wrong in this thread once already.
How long does it take for points to drop off? Does it depend on the infraction?
Avg is 6 months . I think they made them no more than 6 months now . But I've had 22 month ones before .

Mother May I ?

In this game, players must ask "Mother'' may I?" and receive a "yes" before following any instructions from Mother.
