There's another reason I'm glad they won: It has to do with the East/West coast national media assessment of Texas sports that essentially marginalizes Texas sports on professional and collegiate levels. My first recognition of that FACT was from the old Southwest Conference contests. When U of H was finally allowed into the Conference it still didn't make any difference.

Personal "pride" should not enter into the reaction to the win, since a loss would have carried with it a part of the responsibility for the defeat, and I rather doubt AssUp would step up to the bar for that title! He hasn't yet with respect to 2016 POTUS election.
