I know it's pre-season and probably doesn't mean anything toward how the regular season will turn out but the Houston Texans beat the New England Patriots 20-9 in the pre-season opening game earlier tonight.

Preseason isn’t about winning. Almost all of the starters sat (Jacksonville’s starters played the first several series). Deuce looked great on the one scoring drive that featured him on almost every play. Mazi didn’t dazzle, but didn’t embarrass himself either. Cooper was Cooper. Grier is intriguing, but a couple of those passes had me shaking my head. Several of the receivers had some good moments. Aubrey…I don’t know…3 of 4 with the miss being an extra point (ugh!).

If it was about winning and meant anything, whats the Raven's excuse LOL 24 straight preseason wins. Doesnt mean anything once the year starts.


I liked what I saw for the most part. I still dont think Maher should have been cut. I understand why.. cant take a chance on him shitting the bed again if we make playoffs.. but he had a great regular season. I think Deuce can be our 2nd back. He may not be a power back, but he is giving me Sproles vibes, which I like. Im not a big fan of our backup QBs, but it is what it is.

I agree with TMs assessment here.
I had really high hopes for Mazi.
However at the beginning he didn't impress me. But towards the end he performed better. I guess we have to wait and see how he performs during regular season.

Oh boy this Vaughn guy has lot Of energy. He reminds me of Darren Sproles.

Preseason is not about winning. Its all about evaluating the players. I hope Cowboys will do better this season compared to last season.
NFC east is a strong division. We have to win the division to think about moving deep in to the playoffs.

Dak has to improve his quick decision abilities in order to go further.
