I don’t understand why no criminal charges were filed against Araiza or Watson. The D A ultimately makes that call after looking over the evidence but thus far no criminal charges against either accused man. Civil charges have a lower standard for a guilty verdict and thus far Araiza has been charged. Watson is settling out of court against civil charges brought against him.
