Sometimes all you have to do is ask.

Weekend in June around 2004, we arrive at the Riveria. I had reserved a regular room for a weekend at $59 a night, and while checking in I ask if they have any jacuzzi suites. The answer was that all they had is the honeymoon suite. So I asked how much the upgrade would be and the manager told me $20 a night. So for $79 a night we had the honeymoon suite on a weekend. And no, I didn't have to play extra sessions at X amount a bet to get this. Just ask.

Checking in at the Luxor in 2006, we had a regular room for Tuesday night reserved and one of the jacuzzi rooms at the pyramid tower for Wednesday and Thursday nights. I asked how much money it would cost to go ahead and get the jacuzzi suite on the Tuesday night. They told me no cost, and went ahead and gave us the jacuzzi suite for the extra night as the cost of a regular room. Just ask.

I've only played one time to get a room at a heavily discounted rate. It was at the Flamingo Hilton and I had to have $25 on the table per roll and I had to play for 4 hours a day. Well since I'm a low roller and the tables were choppy (neither hot nor cold) my green checks were going fast. After one day of 4 days, I went ahead and got the room at a standard rate. Saving $50 a night cost me around $250. Sometimes you have to back away.

Always ask for a buffet, all they can do is either give you the dinner or they will tell you they will need more time at the table.

^^thats awesome DJ

i never play for Comps but since my style is aggressive, i always get em.

the casino host at the cosmo told us our average bet was 500, which made no sense, since our high bet was 1000 x 3 bets. anyone know if they use a different formula for the 1 roll bets? that was the only thing i could think. course we weren't gonna argue with the host..

checkout from the cosmo was standup comedian funny since rory is a tight wad and i thought the bissy track sw-that was my .5 pt for lust-brought her own supplies. turned out she grabbed em from the countertop when i took a piss.

the vip checkout gal was like, " so this sexy vibrating love package for 2 wasn't your charge?"

im over there belly laughing cause i quickly got it. course i denied everything..

Alyssa, i thought your post was for TW
for quoting the story, not Dear_John, whose post was legit and on-topic. Was I right?

They are very different; imo, Lauberge is a bit more uptight over rules and such, and the Golden Nugget is less so. But i haven't had a chance yet to build up comps at GN, so i just go for the freebies at Lauberge for now.

i have noticed that some of the gals i've taken-usually providers- are just naturally lucky. good karma=lucky, imo. maybe you'll end up your date's good luck charm, like Keri did for me at the Cortez a few years back. she turned a rotten table into one that was just rockin, mainly on her hot, effortless rolling. she got everyone else hot too.

PX, I don't know why but something about Lauberge just calls me louder than the GN. When playing craps, both are exactly the same such as table minimums, odds that I would play, etc.

Maybe the waitresses are hotter or wearing better outfits, I just don't know. I guess I've had better gambling days at Lauberge vs. the GN........and you know that matters.

Casinos spend millions of dollars on what to do to keep the customers in the casino or coming back the next trip. Everything from the odor of the casino, the lighting, and the subject of the casino. My favorite has been the Luxor and the pyramid theme. I love the wide open atrium and the elevators that go at a slant that they call inclinators

My last trip to Vegas was when the Bellagio was built and they were starting work on the Cosmo and those casinos there. I'm guessing around 2007. Since then I've come close to losing my sig. other 2 times (heart bypasses that were so bad her body formed their own bypasses, she had a heart attack and went into cardiogenic shock 2 years ago, and lately is immobile due to broken kneecap for the next month or so).

We've made a couple of trips to the Mississippi coast and Shreveport but as mentioned a craps table is a craps table, whether you're playing in a port a can or the Mirage. It's the intangibles that bring you back. When we went to Vegas we usually stayed at the Imperial Palace, Flamingo Hilton, or the Lady Luck (downtown) when we made our first trip to Vegas. Cheap prices brought us back to stay, however that doesn't mean we gambled a lot there. In Mississippi we stay at the IP, and Sam's Town in Shreveport. We had the funds to stay at the Bellagio, but all a hotel in Vegas is a place to sleep so there is nothing wrong with the low roller places.
