If you were trying to say that a lot of people were banned over a welcome BACK thread to Alyssa, you're wrong...what got them banned was NOT this thread.

The extra syllable gives it that zing which was missing

Yeah the shallow end has its dangers, especially when diving. Originally Posted by H.Hardhat

Click on yours and it doesn't work for me.

This is what yours looks like.

thanks

gotcha. maybe because that's on a mobile.

try Opera. that's also why I include the clickable link now for mobile users.

it doesn't look like that on my page. I see the embedded video thumbnail and it's clickable and plays.

testing - just ignore

interesting. works both ways the way I access the site. I'll try to remember for future postings. thanks again.
I'm interested now if it's just me on desktop version of eccie using Chrome, or if others have the same result?

When I run across dead links I usually just quote and repost it.

Granted there has been some nefarious behavior of late and it needed to be halted before escalating further. It was entertaining but got carried too far.
The Welcome Back thread took an ugly turn as well.
So many came out, not just to see what happened, but to add their "good byes". I know it's the internet and people will comment anonymously. But I can't help but marvel at the amount of negativity since the ban. I can't believe ya'll act this hateful in person. What is it about this place that would bring about this behavior?

There's not a guy on here who's life would be any different should any 10 most popular providers decide to retire on any given day. There would still be another 20 providers (giving the same experience) that would get moved up on the list.

Remember this is only the internet, there is no real strength here.
Hell there's a 12 volt transformer running most circuits so there's no real power either.
Low voltage at best. The real power, as quoted by *Billy Shakespeare*.
The Pen Is Mightier Than The Sword
It is in the written word, the ideas and ideals behind those words where true power lies. Whether that power be used for better or worse is yet to be determined. I fear that the Mob Mentality is easily swayed in the direction of the powers that be. Who for whatever selfish reasons choose to bend the truth to fit into their "larger plan"
Does it matter if you are shooting in an empty room, as long as what you are shouting is real and truthful? I'd rather live and shout alone than stand in a crowd amongst a bunch of lies.
The Times They Are A Changing.
Not for the better I'm afraid.
*quoted from a little known 19th century playwright Edward Bulwer Lytton, I thought Shakespeare sounded better.

Which is a good thing.

A subliminal reason for polling and reporting the results in a manner that is favorable to the preference of the author is the nurturing of the concept that "everyone favors" the most favorable and they want to jump on the "most favored's" band wagon so they can be "correct" in their choice after the fact. As the popularity of a successful candidate wears off, so do the bumper stickers.

Then they spend their time afterwards justifying and supporting their "decision."
