He was a good man. Universally respected, and deservedly so. He is missed.

I was among the first 100 registered members of ASPD, joining in December 1999, and was a bit of an unofficial ASPD historian.
To clarify/comment on a couple of things mentioned earlier in this thread...

ASPD was created the last week of November, 1999.
The first handle was registered November 26, 1999.

JerryD was never banished from ASPD, nor was he removed as a Mod. He resigned.
There were, at most, a very small handful of guys who claimed he was guilty of improprieties. Despite numerous pleas for anyone with information to come forward, not a single lady ever stepped forward to substantiate the rumors.
My experience with JerryD was that he was one of the most genuinely nice individuals I ever met or knew. Additionally, he was one of the most helpful hobbyists I knew in my 12 years or so involvement with the boards.

Casinoplayer21 was a post-whore, but also a lover of puns. His inclusion of a pun in most of his many, short posts is what annoyed more than a few members.
32flavors bet him $1,000 that he couldn't go a year without posting.
CP21 accepted the challenge, did stop posting for a year to win the bet, and 32flavors did pay him as promised. Originally Posted by Deuce Bigalow

I joined ASPD after a visit to Lynn's Oasis in 2002 when one of her girls told me about the site. Finding hookups became a breeze afterward, and extended the reach of Private Connection and OES. Just kept the same handle when eccie started up. We also had a little group of guys that met for lunches and we brought new girls for meet and greets. JerryD was a member, and I could vouch for him as a very nice gentleman as well..

Ladies and gentlemen. Just curious as I see less activity from folks from the good old days. Originally Posted by Bob the Nailer

Thankfully I was becoming a professional geek back then and found the ASPD web site. Hunting through the phone book for escort services, trolling HH, and Eros were all too hit or miss and I'm glad I found a site where I could get some decent intel!

OMG, I just checked my p411 acct to see of I couldn't figure out when I discovered ASPD. I've had that acct for 8 1/2 yrs so I'm guessing I joined ASPD somewhere around 2004. Lot's of water, providers, strip clubs and hobbyists since then.

I first registered in 2000 with an old, now forgotten, handle, but reinvented myself as "GinaXXX" in late 2001 when I moved to Dallas.

ASPD treated me very well, they thankfully welcomed Private Connection with open arms. I have very found memories of those days! Without ASPD I might be working at Starbucks today...

Always,
Gina

At least I've been able to admire your success from afar!
