"Karl Marx Was Right"

Where to begin. Firstly, I don't think humans are 'designed,' as you put it. As for phony constructs, yes, that's pretty much it. We have a need to know why we are here. Some of us chose to look to science for that answer. Others made up gods in order to explain things that we couldn't explain at the time. You can't say what a human would choose, outside of cultural or parental programming. That's an unanswerable question because inevitably, cultural influences will have to play a part. Liberty as chosen by whom? Your liberty might not look like mine. And you also present a false argument by presupposing that there are only two outcomes, servitude or freedom. Some would consider a lifelong 9-5 job a form of servitude on some level. You want to arrive at a simple answer and there just isn't one. Originally Posted by UnderConstruction

Lusty, comedy just isnt your forte. I guess I should commend you for trying, but 90% of the time spent reading your posts is wading through your trying-too-hard-to-be-funny bullshit. You already cant communicate worth shit, makes it even harder you see? Just trying to help you out here. Seriously.

Also, seems like how you cant read worth shit either. Do you not know what "idealistically" means? look that up on dictionary.com and get back to me Originally Posted by shanm

If your comprehension remains stunted, then read the latest report of the UN Human Rights Commission:

And I am not speaking "idealistically". I am speaking of reality. Facts on the ground. Germany and Korea. Communism in action versus capitalism in action. Deal with it, punk.

I was not defending one OR the other. I never said socialism was better OR vice versa. Now, you would only understand this if you had actually passed the third grade. I merely explained what communism and capitalism are. Apparently your butt-boys on here are just as illiterate as you are. Capitalism might be the lesser of two evils, but it is still the root of the problems in this country. And no, nothing capitalism provides currently can be likened to freedom. It's a means of control, just like communism. "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety." You see? that's me being idealistic right there. You learned a new word today.
And besides, you can't judge something from when it's practiced in a horrible way like the socialism in Russia or North Korea. You should go read the "wikipedia" article to enlighten yourself just a little on what socialism actually stands for.

Now, I'm sure that went through your head as if I had said "the United States should be a communist/socialist country!". Frankly, your idiocy and ignorance are the least of my worries. You are but a small fish in that giant Idiot pond you swim in.

If you view the sweep of history and fail to see the amazing contrast between the rapid human progress achieved under capitalism and the enormous human suffering inflicted under communism, then you are beyond help, hope or redemption. You also abused Ben Franklin's liberty v. safety quote. It is completely out of context here. Please stop embarrassing yourself. Your ignorance is making Ben spin in his grave:

But by far your stupidest comment is this one:

“...besides, you can't judge something from when it's practiced in a horrible way like the socialism in Russia or North Korea.”

Oh no? Why not? On what basis should we judge if not by what happens in practice? Don't you believe in the scientific method? What good is your “idealistic” utopia if it always falls apart in practice? (And by the way, only someone who is woefully unread and under-educated would consider "idealistic" to be a "new word".)

I have an idea, shammytard. Why don't you tell the families and survivors of the millions of North Koreans and tens of millions of Russians who died from starvation, firing squads or the gulag - “Ooops, sorry! Don't blame communism, some guys just didn't practice it right!” And lemme know how they respond, ok?

But perhaps you have a point, shammytard. If only the North Koreans had implemented communism correctly, then maybe today the South Koreans would be only 10 times wealthier, instead of 17 times.

Lookee here, folks! Another fine example of warped, libtarded thinking of the most perverse kind! No real difference between communism and capitalism! According to shammytard, it's sorta like ordering a Miller or a Budweiser. The beer ads look good, but both taste lousy so it really doesn't matter which one you choose.

I don't know whether shammytard is too young or historically illiterate to remember the Berlin Wall. Can someone help me out here? I mean, what was all the fuss about back in 1961-1989? Who built the wall in the first place - the communists or the capitalists? Was it erected to stop people from fleeing to the communist East or the capitalist West? What does that tell you about where freedom flourished and where it was suppressed? It's called voting with your feet! Yet shammytard thinks they were both the same. According to his libtard revisionist history of the Cold War, neither side allowed us to be "more free than the other". The only cure for this type of demented and delusional thinking is to lock shammytard in a room with Pink Floyd's "The Wall" playing over and over at 80 decibels while documentary footage of East Germans being shot to death fleeing to the West runs in a continuous loop on a video screen. Then after a month or so of this Audio-Visual re-education therapy, we will fly shammytard to the Korean 38th Parallel at the Panmunjom checkpoint, march him out and give him a choice to go north or south. Don't tell shammytard, but in the north they don't have Miller OR Budweiser!

Shammytard, this bud's for you:

Guess which Korea is free and which is a Stalinist dictatorship?

Guess which Korea eats and which one starves?

Shammytard, take a deep breath, you are obviously having a meltdown. I won't make you squirm again by posting the actual quotes which you keep desperately trying to walk back or disavow. After you have recovered from your meltdown, scurry down to the local library and read up on the Cold War and the history of the Berlin Wall. Then come back and tell us what you learned. At that point, we MAY treat you like an adult who has lived in, studied, experienced and gained an understanding of the real world.
