After Putin Finishes With Ukraine, Are The Baltic States Next?

First off; decent post. It has content and is worthy of discourse. It's misguided and a bit of head-in-the-sand, but at least it's got some points to ponder.
Try these three words in your search engine: CIA Color Revolution
Here is a high level outline:
The color revolution is better described by the foreign observers who say “are externally fueled acts with a clear goal to influence the internal affairs that destabilize the economy,[2] conflict with the law and represent a new form of warfare“.

The point is: we do do that. Now, we should not be doing that, especially on our selves - IMHO. So it should come as no surprise that the Ruskies would have a higher moral fiber to NOT do it, at home or abroad.

As to using the media as a Propaganda outlet. Well... Let's just say - not invented by the Ruskies. It's American as apple pie and hot dogs. We are world class propagandists. Ever here of fake news? What about fear porn? Yup, us again. I did a thread on it awhile back:
Git Yer Red Hots! Red hot lies! Fresh off da presses!!!

Here is a great example from that thread:
This is extremely dangerous (1 min 37 sec)

Guess you already forgot the "false flag" invasion Russia normally uses to create justification to attack. They could not get away with it this time due to excellent broadcasting of intelligence facts and photos by the West. So now they come up with these false reasons (excuses) for invading.

And this is tame compared to what the Russian media is delivering to the people of Russia. Pure propaganda. If you were a Russian citizen, you would think the motherland was about to be engulfed by Ukraine...but their leader and brave Russian army will save the day.

Don't forget the Trumpites trying to use the "false flag" FBI hidden government protestors theory to justify why they attacked the US Capitol on Jan 06.

Thank god we still have our Capitol and our democracy. Originally Posted by VitaMan

Putin's not young enough to get there.

There are defective thinkers in this country who actually believe that the invasion of our Southern border is "good for American"! They willfully neglect to understand that those people are fleeing from shitholes they allowed to fester, because of their basic incompetence.

They group in this country whine about Trump's "twitter style" while they pay increasing fuel and food prices ... without good jobs. Apparently they enjoy "shitholes" and admire shithole facilitators!

That's a lot of what's wrong with the Obaminable/Bitten program of resettlement of ghetto dwellers to the suburbs in U.S. cities with supplemental funding and marginal interest rates to support the relocations. Bankrolling doesn't modify behavior, it engrains existing attitudes and rewards them with taxpayer money. There used to be an old saying ...something like:

"You can take the little girl out of the woods, but you can't take the woods out of the little girl!"

I also recall: "You can't teach an old dog new tricks!" There are a lot more like them.

That's part of Putin's problem ... he's trying to oppress people who for the most part have had freedom to enjoy their lives without too much strangle by the government. Sort of like in this country ... a year or so is enough of these ignorant "mandates" ... and Wokism! When we see Ukraine giving firearms to citizens ... taking them from citizens doesn't make sense.

That was the purpose of the 2nd Amendment. Not "hunting" or "sports" or "target shooting"!

putin has nowhere to turn but press on

he has made a huge mistake, though he might not understand it given his megalomania

can he back off given his pride and the shame doing so would cause him to swallow?

i doubt he can stop against ukraine and he will likely escalate his attacks with thermobaric weapons and then who knows

maybe attacking neighboring nato nations aiding ukraine

Well.. turns out it might not be much at all. Turns out Vlad and crew have pretty much been going all "Chatty Kathy" about this stuff for some time. There have been many meetings at various levels and locations across the EU for quite awhile now, with many interested parties involved. Russia's position is basically:

West was covering up crimes of Kiev regime that led to Ukraine’s tragedy, Lavrov says

"During this entire period, the population of DPR and LPR was subjected to abuse, perennial shelling on the part of the Kiev regime that openly adopted a course towards Russophobia and genocide," the Russian top diplomat noted

MOSCOW, February 25. /TASS/. The West was silently encouraging the rise of neo-Nazism and Russophobia in Ukraine and covering up the crimes of the Kiev regime in Donbass, which in the end led to the country’s tragedy, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said opening talks with Foreign Minister of the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) Vladislav Deinego and First Deputy Foreign Minister of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) Sergey Peresada on Friday.

"During this entire period, the population of your republics was subjected to abuse, perennial shelling on the part of the Kiev regime that openly adopted a course towards Russophobia and genocide," the Russian top diplomat noted. "All these years, our Western colleagues were consistently covering up for the Ukrainian regime, turning a blind eye to military crimes against civilians, to the murders of women, children, seniors, to the destruction of civilian infrastructure and silently encouraging the rapid rise of neo-Nazism and Russophobia which in the end led to the country’s tragedy. And, of course, the West fully supported the Kiev regime in its attempts to sabotage and finally destroy the Minsk Accords," he added.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said in a televised address on Thursday morning that in response to a request by the heads of the Donbass republics he had made a decision to carry out a special military operation in order to protect people "who have been suffering from abuse and genocide by the Kiev regime for eight years." The Russian leader stressed that Moscow had no plans of occupying Ukrainian territories.

Russia's Defense Ministry reported later on Thursday that Russian troops were not delivering strikes against Ukrainian cities. It emphasized that Ukrainian military infrastructure was being destroyed by precision weapons.

Not justifying or rationalizing anything here. Just showing their position as they claim it to be. It is wise to understand where someone is coming from. Might have read that in Art of The Deal.

Time and history will tell, so long as ol' Babbling Cabbage Biden don't go getting too twitchy-fingery. Originally Posted by Why_Yes_I_Do

One of the main arguments against other Countries get in involved in the Ukrainian war is they are not a member of NATO.

But many experts of the region say that Russia will next go after the three Baltic States, who are members of NATO.

The question will then be will Article 5 of the NATO Pact be activated, compelling NATO Countries to enter the fray.

I say it will not. We are talking about 8million people total. New York City has more.

I think it is becoming clear that in Putin, we are dealing with a megalomaniac who just might have gone off the deep end. He cares nothing for world opinion or sanctions.

What do you do? This is a very real question that the Western World is going to face, and probably soon. Originally Posted by Jackie S
