Ok, So make it 2 1/2 years ago, make it sometime in 2019 then.

Today, crime is widespread and everyday costs are escalating out of control. The pandemic is not the root cause of these dynamic changes in our society.

The only negative I have today over 2019 is the increase in cost of certain goods, mainly food. There may be an increase in crime in some areas but it has not impacted my personal life or the lives of any of my family or friends, to the best of my knowledge. So to answer your question, I don't consider my life any better or any worse than in 2019.
