Don't know if you remember, Old-T, the thread in which Troll-chak published his plan to operate a solar-battery boat, and was going to extend the range by hanging an alternator on the motor. Kind of gave himself away there, on the physics degree thing. Pretty sure that, even in these latter days, a physics major doesn't emerge from even the first year without having learned enough thermodynamics to understand that there's a fundamental problem with that. Never travelled on a bus long distance, have no fear of flying, so there's that. I have been uncomfortable on planes flying over oceans sitting next to smelly, over weight people.
