**** UPDATE, 02/17/09: That’s in addition to the two other kids Ted Nugent had out of wedlock with two other different women by the time he turned 21. That’s right. Ted Nugent fathered SEVEN kids with FIVE different women, to which only two of whom he was married. ****
It’s hilarious to read “Uncle Ted” Nugent moralizing to us in the Journal, including these passages, since he’s not exactly the ideal utterer of them:
Turned off by the work ethic and productive American Dream values of their parents, hippies instead opted for a cowardly, irresponsible lifestyle of random sex, life-destroying drugs and mostly soulless rock music that flourished in San Francisco. . . .
A quick study of social statistics before and after the 1960s is quite telling. The rising rates of divorce, high school drop outs, drug use, abortion, sexual diseases and crime, not to mention the exponential expansion of government and taxes, is dramatic. The “if it feels good, do it” lifestyle born of the 1960s has proved to be destructive and deadly.
I agree with all of these things, but can’t hear them coming from Ted Nugent. From him it sounds more like “The Nudge,” instead of another one of his favorite self-monikers, “The Nuge.” It’s too much Nugent saying, “Do as I say, not as I do,” especially since his battle to avoid paying for his illegitimate kid was just two years ago. (Everyone falls for his phony act, though, since Nugent was once named “Father of the Year,” by some ignorant group.)
I believe everyone has a right to own a firearm; I just personally don't want one. If you're a afraid of crime it will find you. Here's a few of examples:

I used to build houses in one of the worst ghettos in Houston (I will again when the economy picks up.). I had serious problems with theft so I rented one of my houses to the local "barber" and his family at a reduced rent with the caveat that he look into controlling my theft problem. Guess what happened? Bingo - my theft slowed to a trickle.

I'll give you another my ghetto building business example. I had some problems with vagrants and / or crack heads laying about in my dried-in houses and vacant rentals. I didn't get a gun, I got a 100 lb German Shepard dog, and learned to NEVER let a rental be vacant even over night. The problem that was partly my fault (not having people move in as people were moving out), and the crack heads needing someones' walls to smear their blueberry pies all over (Yes, that happened.) went away when every one knew my Big Guy was going to be with me.

My daughter went to collect rent one time for me. The ghetto rats thought that a girl in a high end German car would be an easy mark and blocked the street thinking she'd stop. Well, no actually she didn't. She downshifted into second gear, gunned it and got herself my rent checks down the road.

In my neighborhood we had home invasions about six years ago. My house at the time was the only tear down on the street. My daughter heard them trying to get in and was screaming at them and for me from her balcony as they tried to get into the foyer. I came around the corner; told her to call the police; and watched them close the door behind them. They ran into 160 lbs of pissed dogs (My little one is only 60 lbs).

The point is this - be brave, be prepared, but you don't have to be a gun owner to be either.

Ole, sort-of-one-kinda-hit-wonder Ted. If he's a millionaire - raise his fucking taxes!

Hey, IIFy and the rest of you NRA nuts: Are you gonna help Teddy-boy out with legal and accounting fees when the IRS crawls up his ass? Why don't you put your money where your round mouths are?

heh heh heh - retardos

Ted just speaks his mind and stand for something right or wrong I admire that. He maybe this or that, but you can't argue with like most of us on this site, Ted does not get high on drugs, but sex. Wang Dang Sweet Poontang. Everyone is always looking to exploit something. I'm thinking the Florida shoot of the kid with a Hoody, that was sad, but how many kids were beaten by their patents to death today, shot dead by a drive by we don't care cause someone is not exploiting it. I mean Michael Jackson Doctor's trail was on Prime Time News. Give me a break. We Americans love drama. Just look how reality TV is on every channel. For myself, I enjoy the music and filter out the noise of what is Blue vs Red and have a nice day without working myself up over who said this or that and feel sad for the kid that was left in a hot car until he died today. What was his name?

Oliva, I always told my ex, not only does she has to know how to shoot a gun but will she be able to shoot some one

btw, I lived in Preston Wood in Dallas and we had a neighborhood crime watch deal where we only paid about $300 a year that went on our property taxes to have 24 hour LE patrolling the area, not a paid deal

By that time, it may be too late to defuse the situation without me shooting them. No, I like everyone to know what's on the table and discourage threats from the get go.

Nugget made one comment in one of his interviews that got me to thinking. He said that the Second Amendment was the only Amendment that you need a permit to enjoy. I got to thinking about that. It's not true. You need a permit to Assemble (Not sure which Amendment it is, but I know it's in the Bill of Rights.).

I am all for the right to bare arms but not when it comes to stocking up on semi automatic weapons and the types of guns the military uses for personal civilian use, as one has to question the motives. You don't need a machine gun or equivalent to go hunt. You don't need a military grade gun to protect yourself.

We don't do enough right now as it is to put more stricter laws concerning individual gun owners selling their personal guns online and then not doing the proper screening to see if the person they are selling to isn't a felon or have a mental illness.
