See provider in public; what to do

This has happenned to me FIVE times. Twice at Quick Trip, once at Grocery Store, once at Wal Mart and once at a Restaurant. At the time at the restuarant, the provider was our waitress. At all of them other than the restaurant, I simply smiled and kept going. It is about MUTUAL respect. I didn't know who was with her. She didn't know who was with me. This business is behind closed doors (mostly! LOL!) and should be kept there. One provider called me by my Hobby name and said HI! Luckily, I was alone because my hobby name and real name are not the same! So, that could have been bad. I just think that a provider has to have her own time and life away from the hobby when she doesn't want to be recognized or communicated with. Obviously, the same is true for the hobbiest who need discretion!

This is why I don't like to play in my backyard with locals. I will see visiting providers (that's why I like to see KC providers visit) or see providers when I'm out of town. But discretion is too important to me to play with locals.
