To put a real point on it. The house does not convict, the house indicts. The trial occurs in the senate. There is no proscribed punishment in the event of a conviction but it has always been understood that if it serious enough to impeach then it is serious enough to remove from office...and Joe Biden become president.
Also the birther thing....a democrat invention from the Hillary camp.
Like I told someone earlier tonight don't think that an impeachment hearing will happen this week or even this month. The Watergate hearings took the summer to conclude. I can't imagine any hearing taking place before the end of the year. They still have to collect the evidence and find the principals. This has been the easy part. Finding out who signed off on IRS audits and AP phone records will be harder. Same thing for finding out who gave the stand down order on Benghazi. Then pressure has to be applied until they flip or get indicted. Obama will try to sell out Hillary and Hillary will try to cut off Obama's balls. This is just beginning, lean back and enjoy it.
