I spent most of my career working the overnight and I'm a fan of WWII history, so I borrowed the term "night fighter." But, I am also lazy and didn't want to type out night fighter, so I shortened it to nite fiter, which was taken, as was nitefiter. I just tried it with the letter y and it worked.

The avatar is from the movie poster for "Highlander" and alludes to my ethnic background as well as my search for the next ATF (since I've now had three retire - but maybe my standards are too high).
