I haven't been back since but sneak a peak at ISG from time to time. The Del Rey shut down during COVID, and the premier hooker bar in San Jose became the Taormina. Now the Del Rey has opened up again and women are coming back. People seem to be splitting their time between there and the Taormina. And then there's the Sportsmens Lodge.

Anyway, I'd pick the Del Rey in the good old days, say 10 years ago before they ran off the Colombians, over Jaco. I liked the vibe.

If you plan a trip it's probably worth checking internationalsexguide.nl and costaricaticas.com to see the current status of the venues. In my opinion Jaco's worth a trip. It's not that far from San Jose and a change of pace. If you're a fisherman, a surfer or a nature lover Jaco and nearby points are definitely worth a visit.

And yes WTF, I could have had about 20 pokes at the Cocal for what I wasted on that worthless POS Perdue.
