20 years ago there were a number of arrests of eco terrorists like ELF and ALF. Bombs planted, arson in California , Oregon, and Colorado, even in Kansas City. I had done research and had written a report about ELF. There were three lumber yard fires in the area. The news people were talking about vandals going 30 miles out of town. I called the FBI rep and asked about ELF. He would neither confirm nor deny but he did ask how I came to that conclusion. The media wasn't interested but 3 months later they did make arrests of radical environmentalists. The story had already expired.
