Why not just pick a Bar and set a date and time and people can show up or not? No invitations, no having to pay a fee, nobody being blackballed because someone doesn't like them. A friend of a friend just opened a Sports Bar in the Arboretum area and he could sure use the business. The "gang" would pretty well have the place to themselves as he is just gearing up and there is never more than 10-20 people in there. They have a full menu, drinks, pool, video games, etc.

Saj, what you mention is exactly the kind of thing I had in mind.
Whispers, you certainly are interesting to say the least. I appreciate your "concern" for the community by asking just exactly who I am.
Strange though that you didn't have that question before inviting me to your SC event. An event where, strangely enough, you also invited providers and fellow hobbyists to get together. An event where you saw me in the VIP area getting dances from strippers.
Now, and I'm just thinking out loud here, I met several providers at your event. Met several hobbyists too. Spoke to Sixx, and a few others. You didn't seem too worried about "who exactly I am" at that point. Instead you invited me to sit down with you so you could fill me in on some general info you thought was worthwhile for me to know.
Want to know what's funny? One of the dancers, while giving me a lap dance, told me that LE had been seen in the parking lot taking down license plates. Did I get paranoid and think you had something to do with that? No. LE in the parking lot of a SC is a pretty common event in my experience.
Why did you feel more comfortable with me then? Why did you invite me and now when I propose an event suddenly you think people should be wary or ask themselves "who exactly I am"?
Interesting.
What Saj1000 stated is all I had in mind. If you think THAT is dangerous, well then continue to raise the alarm.
Your wording does seem interesting though that suddenly you think it's important for people to know who it is exactly that's behind the new "
movement"?
What "movement would that be Whispers? Inquiring minds want to know.
It's funny, when I first ran this post and you were the first one to respond, I knew then that there was no way you would let this thread run it's course as a simple thread to exchange ideas and have positive suggestions.
O.k., I know. You are only looking out for the "welfare of the community" right? I'm sure there will be those that believe that and I'm sure there's plenty more who see a different motivation for your "contribution" to this thread. Some key words and phrases you used certainly seem to indicate the second.
No worries Whispers, there is no new "movement" here to dethrone the King. So before you get really ugly with more insinuations, relax. The "spring movement of the Middle East" hasn't found it's way to ECCIE just yet. Your kingdom is secure. You continue to rule.
