On just a side note, when I started being an escort (and I had been celibate for awhile), I was kindof shocked that men and women alike were so frequently shaved. So was I for awhile.

So I asked one of my scout mom friends. She said that her husband shaved completely because he was very active with riding bicycles very long distances and it hurt for him to not be shaved. Made perfect sense.

Then she told me that it was more comfortable for her to shave. They're very physically active and so with that ... I understand why they prefer being shaved.

For me, still, I like hair and I don't see that changing. But it's not a big deal either way for me. It's like unwrapping a package and not knowing what you're going to see down there anyway!!!

I've always wondered if the acceptable trend regarding female grooming was somewhat dictated by the porn industry. You've pegged it. The porn industry IS trying to sell more younger looking girls, the whole "barely legal thing" and shaved helps with that look, so everyone kind of trends that way, slowly.

It is more subliminal that a conscious thing, but it's not the fact that people do it because they saw it in a porn, it's that people TRY it because it's was in a porn, it's not such a weird thing for someone to see, if they can always say "I saw it in a porno", so it's more acceptable to try it out. Then, after they go bare for a little while, decide they like it.

I normally fall into the middle ground on this personally, but every now and then a clean shave really feels more comfortable. I think everyone should at least try it out once and see for themselves.
