Last minute cancellations can be frustrating certainly, but life is full of that sort of thing.+1 to all of the above, especially the "experts" on pricing. You can always count on someone posting, "What? You paid X for Y? You could have gotten 2X for 1/2Y from another provider."
Honestly, in the few years I've been involved both here and on the old board, it's the attitude some people have that pisses me off.
The folks who think they know what everyone else is "really" thinking and proceeds to post their "expert" opinion.
The folks who look down on ladies who charge less and gentlemen who see them, and vice versa, the gentlemen who post the "not worth it" comments if a reviewer paid more than the average.
Hearing about members threatening bad reviews or promising good ones in exchange for "special" deals or services (this is why I quit writing reviews on the old board after number 13 and never started here).
Guys (and gals) getting bashed for wanting to either do free or charge for photography. I don't agree with posting casting calls for free photography to compete with the pros, but when folks do they don't deserve to be called "creepy" or accused of simply wanting to "see some" or "get some" for free, like other hobbies, some people really do this without expecting payment. Often it's the GWP's who call them GWC's (in a derogatory fashion).
It pisses me off when people take this all too seriously, it's entertainment first and foremost, it is at least partially illusion. But please, keep it theatrical without making it into drama. It's a show that the audience of one (usually) becomes a part of for a short period of time, it's the ultimate theater in the "round". You don't have to convince me that you look forward to seeing me, but at least try to make me think you don't mind.
And finally, anyone here who thinks they are "better" than the rest of us, really, really pisses me off. Originally Posted by Iaintliein
