A prime example that being a good surgeon means nothing in terms of being qualified to be president.
Just like going from one of the richest men on earth to bankrupt also does not qualify you.

Being a good surgeon requires, at the minimum, dedication, intelligence, and a commitment to the patient (do no harm) and Ben Carson by all descriptions was an excellent surgeon. He was also a department head and had more people working for him than community organizer Obama who had more serious duties. I'm sure that Ben Carson had to dismiss people occasionally which Obama hasn't gotten the knack of yet.
Being a businessman at the level that Trump plays at gives a certain understanding of how business (and the country) works. We also learn more from failure than we do success. Trump has stumbled and no one picked him up like Obama. He had to find a way to get to his own feet and move forward. Trump has certainly learned how to fire people for not performing at their best. Not just bad players but people who tried their hardest but came up short. If Obama had some of those contestants in his cabinet, they country would have been better off but Trump's people were real and his success has been real. Trump also has a degree in economics from Wharton business school. Something that both Sanders and Hillary lack.
For the record, Bernie Sanders has a degree in political science but seems to have spent more time protesting and agitating with his socialist buddies than going to class. Interested to see his academic records.
