I dont understand why a man or a woman especially in the adult business would risk their own health. Everyone needs to become better educated on bbbj and anything unsafe that is done. YES U CAN contract diseases from a bbbj. Please everyone have more respect for urself and for others. BETTER SAFE THAN SORRY WRAP IT UP!!! Originally Posted by TINAMONET

just becaquse a woman doesnt look like she has an std does not mean a thing. its always the pretty ones that have it because they have more sex than anyone else.... think on it. and if u just go around believing what eery woman or man tells u... well u might wanna think about changing that too. not to mention the fact that this "tina" person has been posting on BP in Kansas City for at least a month now AND has been a member here since april 30th , but is not yet verified ?

seems kinda fishy to me .

I guess I can't understand why a provider of any service would come into a community of clients and prospects and start calling them idiots. To me that seems...well idiotic. Regardless of the topic. I'm wondering why they never mentioned that technique in the dozens of sales and marketing classes I've attended over the years....

You want to avoid STD's? Here's how:

There are four incurable sexually transmitted diseases.

HIV is the big one, of course, but it is not easily transmitted. It is only found in blood, not saliva. In fact, saliva kills the virus, and unless there are open sores on both the partners it is unlikely to be contracted by oral sex.

Hepatitis-B is transmitted through blood. The Hep-B virus (HBV) can be found in saliva, but oral-genital contact has not been associated with HBV transmission unless biting has taken place. HBV is not spread by kissing. There is also a vaccination for HBV.

Genital herpes and Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) are an epidemic, especially among young people. However a condom does NOT protect against either of these. They are spread through skin-to-skin contact. Many health professionals believe that the *majority* of sexually active people have been exposed to one or both of these viruses without ever getting symptoms. And if symptoms do appear they are easily treated. Neither have serious health consequences -- you may be infected and never know it.

Bacterial STDs are more easily transmitted through oral-genital contact, but they are all curable -- assuming you get regular checkups.

So the bottom line is: Anything incurable isn't likely to be transmitted through a BBBJ.

"But, KCQuestor" (you might say), "there's still a chance, right? Even a minor one?"

Sure. But there's a chance you'll die doing just about anything. People take risks for hobbies all the time. Rock climbing, skiing, hiking, flying in a plane. Heck, you are probably at greater risk driving to your date than you are performing unprotected oral sex. Know the risks, accept the risks, or don't.

Tina has expressed a valid concern. ECCIE is not a place to beat up on newbies. I'm going to close this thread and I hope you will all cut her some slack until she learns the ropes here.
