Where's a Good Place to Hide and Live Off the Grid???

Engaging in interactions associated with being a provider cannot be helpful in developing coping skills with your emotional and psychological issues, but roughly 85% of the folks in our society have "ADD" ... and depression and anxiety is prevalent, with many folks not even realizing they are.

Hopefully you can work through those issues and learn to cope with them. IMO one never "cures" them; only lives with them. Also, hopefully, you have an honest assessment of yourself as being a good and worthwhile person without a "need" for affirmation from third-parties, or even family members.

Hiding "off the grid" will not resolve those issues.

It will focus your attention on them, as you do some self-examination. Originally Posted by LexusLover

"How many people have ADHD?
According to the National Institute of Health, ADD affects between 3 to 5 percent of the population in the United States."

I think living off the grid would be very peaceful. Being energy independent and self sufficient in the production of food is appealing. The problem with staying in the rat race is the rats always win.

ST, are you familiar with the Mother Earth News? I'd recommend it. They have lots of info on off-grid living.

Speaking of pulling shit out of your ass. You just made my point.

That stat is 3 to 5 percent of the children ... you are talking about ADHD.

The distinction is a clinical diagnosis vs. a behavior that is symptomatic:

"ADD Symptoms (http://alothealthy.com/conditions/what-is-add--1)

Children with ADD tend to have problems:
1. paying attention in class,
2. getting easily distracted.
3. problems reading or completing simple tasks.
4. ADD also contributes to hyperactivity in children,
5. causing difficulty being quiet or staying seated.

ADD symptoms in adults can be more complicated.
1. tendency toward being easily distracted,
2. adults often suffer from depression which can
3. lead to low self-esteem,
4. workplace problems, and
5. difficulty with relationships.
6. substance abuse or anger issues.

Now tell me that describes 3-5% of the children or 3-5% of the adults!!!!!

Probably describes 85% of the U.S. children and adults to one degree or another.

Do you realize how many people 85 percent is? That would mean that over 250 million people in this country have ADHD. That's just not the case.

I am so scared I just want to find a hidden area in the mountains to live, preferrably not alone! Stock up on supplies, build a cabin or buy an RV!!! Originally Posted by SeekingTruth
