Obviously the LSU victory at Alabama was huge and in enemy territory. You have to admit that LSU had good fortune with missed field goals, and a very close interception/strip at the one yard line. Alabama left a lot of points out on the field in a virtually tie ball game.
If LSU wins in the BCS finale, they will be the undisputed champs in my mind...regardless of the site. In most sports teams lose games during the regular season and still come back to win it all in the playoffs.

The NCAA will have four super conferences 16 to 18 teams each with two to four divisons each. Each conference has two playoff games and conference championship game. The bowl games act as playoffs leaving four teams. Those four play then the two winners play. The key is that the out of conference games go away but for one reserved for rivarly week. The bowls do a round robin of hosting the the biggest three games to spread the wealth to the bowl sites host cities.
