Maybe every provider should consider giving a discount for the 1st meeting, things are just too weird/awkward the 1st time

I'd like to start by saying one thing:

I get where Galaxon is coming from on first visit anxieties. I've had them, too.. but at the same time that I'm nervous behind closed doors for the first time with a provider, so is she.. Part of her mind is occupied with fears of getting ripped off or attacked. If she's a provider truly worthy of her donation, she's juggling these fearful thoughts while trying to make me comfortable, to please me, to make things enjoyable for me.

Asking her for a 'first timer's discount' in this case would be a demand for her to agree to receive less pay for more stressful work.

I've never felt comfortable asking for specific requests on a first date with a lady, to be honest. I might ask if I feel like she's open to feedback once we're in play, so to speak, but I've always been concerned that asking for specific outfits, toys, or accessories over email or text before the date would frighten her into thinking I'm a LEO, or might constitute evidence that would get both of us in legal trouble with the nanny state.

Yeah, you always run the risk that you're not going to click with a lady, even if she's got 100+ reviews ranging from "Yes" to "Hell yes!!!!!11!!!". That risk can't be reduced from the financial side, but it can be reduced from the research side, and by seeking out fellow 'mongers who share personality traits and tastes in ladies for advice + recommendations. It's quite true that details that might be quite important might not make it into reviews, or even into Men's Lounge commentary.. so part of research might involve some PMs to other 'mongers who have similar kinks, so to speak.

Maybe that's what IB meant by 'skills', but if not, I invite him to elaborate.

That was a great response BESG. Thank you for so elegantly putting your thoughts on this.
Went to a new restaurant today and being inspired by this thread asked them if they'd be willing to give me a discount on my salmon with roasted sweet potatoes since it was my first time eating there.

The manager and two busboys escorted me out.

Still hungry I then went to open a new account at a new bank and demanded they add an $100 to my opening deposit of $50 since it was my first time banking with them.

Armed security escorted me out.

Now hungry with only the $50 deposit in my pocket that the bank wouldn't take I figured maybe I can at least get laid with it.

I then found me a brand new provider and showing her my $50 suggested the first time session discount.

Her pimp kicked the shit out of me, took the $50 and then threw me out the first floor window.

I'm beginning to think maybe this isn't such a great idea after all.

I guess this is why most dudes only see well reviewed providers where they have 100+ yes recommendations and everything about them is perfect. But what about the providers with no reviews, or only one, or a handful. Somebody's gotta be the guinea pig, but if u get burned too many times or it just didn't live up to the rate, you're going to stop doing that. Then who is going to see those providers? They may not have any or many regulars because of that.

I'm always a bit nervous the first time too, but if I know I've done all my research and got a good vibe from the screening/booking process I'm pretty sure at that point I'm going to have an okay time. More often than not that okay time turns into a good or great one once I'm there.

Admittedly, I don't have complex needs and I don't generally ask for anything special the first time anyway because I just want to see how it goes. If we click and I decide to see her again we'll have established enough of a rapport that it shouldn't be an issue to ask then.

It may also help that I am always very polite and understand that generally I want to see her more than she needs to see me, so I feel like the onus is on me to work a little harder to make sure she's as comfortable with me as possible before I show up. That's also why I choose not to haggle. I feel the small amount of money I might save is really meaningless if it means we get off on the wrong foot with her feeling like I'm a cheap bastard and we don't have the best session possible because of it.
The truth is that Galaxon00 is looking for a very niche market and he wants to know she can perform to his requests, but giving a discount so he can test drive her is unfair, considering the skills he is looking for are very exceptional and physically demanding.

Lots of business offer incentives to 1st time purchasers Jet.com, Magic Kitchen, and even UBER has a $22 dollar off your first ride promo.

Many new or rebuilding restaurants are in fundraising coupon books and other media as being busy is good for business even if they are giving you $20 off of dinner for two. They hope they can impress you and that you will return over and over. I have found many restaurants that I would have never tried that way that I made myself a regular at.

The manager and two busboys escorted me out.

Still hungry I then went to open a new account at a new bank and demanded they add an $100 to my opening deposit of $50 since it was my first time banking with them.

The bank I bank with offered $100 to open an account with a small balance. They charged fees but deducted them if direct deposit was utilized and furnished check, cashiers checks, and other services free for 30 days, free after that with a maintained balance. My business bank offered a deal on business checking (no charge for basic services deposits or withdrawals.) I have been with both for over 10 years.

Armed security escorted me out.

Now hungry with only the $50 deposit in my pocket that the bank wouldn't take I figured maybe I can at least get laid with it.

I would wonder if the OP doesn't have an idea that might work for a new provider who does not have a reputation and is wanting to grow her clientele list. I would guess that the provider may need to fine tune an offer to fit her business plan and her appearance and performance levels but but instead of not noticing a new gal with limited reviews I would at least consider her and if she ends up being hot, performs well, and has great TCB skills I would probably become a regular and both give positive word of mouth and reviews. The question is do you jump on salmon run prices and what kind of an offer would get you to consider an unknown provider?

I see a gal here in VA who ran a see me as many times as you want for 30 days at a set price, discussed privately, and then a grandfathered rate after that. No funny rules, no fine print. I have been seeing here 2-3 times a month for 2 years, she no longer advertises, she is social in the hobby but her marketing efforts worked very well as her business plan was designed to fill available hours and when a monger died, moved, married, or whatever for another to be introduced to her by other clients. She still does the same offer for all new clients and there is a waiting list.

When I moved to VA I noticed a clothing store in a open air mall near my home and I noticed that they were busy. I never saw a sale ad for them just local newspaper ads with hours, services and brands of designer suits.
I did go to the clothing store one Sat., introduced myself to the manager, who gave me a tour of the sports, casual, suits departments, Then took me to the shoe department and the gift shop. He welcomed the opportunity to earn my business and explained that all garments, no matter what type received lifetime (in house) alterations and tailoring at any of their stores and could be returned for any reason for a full refund. I thanked him for his time but before I could leave he gave me a letter for 25% off the total on my first purchase and explained that the company wants to encourage me to pull the trigger and give then a try over the department and mall shops or other men's specialty stores. The letter spelled out the beginnings of the company, key personnel and services they provided ( free shoe shines) and invited me to call the store for an appointment if I so desired.

I have never purchased career clothing anywhere else since then and when I buy a suit, sport coat or a casual polo shit it is fitted, tailored by the same Italian master tailor, (Tony). My garments are pressed, while I wait, between cleanings if needed (no charge) and I have recommended them to many friends and business associates who gave them rave reviews. I thought I was special but when they went into the store they told them that I had referred them and they got 25% off their first order and I received a thank you note from owners, manager and the salesman. They now mail invitations to end of season, end of year sales and private showing that my friends don't get invited to. I spend the big bucks at those events and they take really good care of me. There was a $450 lambskin jacket marked down to $200 (Kenneth Cole) that when I got home I realized I had not been charged for it, I took it back and told them, the manager apologized that they had failed to tell me that they were not charging me for it as a token of their appreciation for referring/ vouching for them. I had to be help up off the floor as I think I fainted. LOL

Why can't a provider do business like this? Qualify a monger, offer an instinctive, perform flawlessly, never over commit yet always out preform expectations, and remove in the tens of thousands of $$$ from my wallet over a long period of time.

Just my thoughts on the matter but It worked for them, it could work for you

I've never hired the same provider twice. It's not that I wouldn't ever go back but I've just never been so impressed that I just had to do a repeat.

First time discounts would be great for those like me as every session from here on would be discounted.

I'm all for the game plan if providers would fall for it however I just don't see them becoming that gullible any time soon.

UBER and Jet don't care as they just want to introduce you to what makes them different and 15% and free shipping on $35 works. I buy from Jet before Amazon when I can. I used an UBER deal when I first tried them and have since used them several times as my UBER guy with a little notice brings his brother who drives me and my car home, cost's more but my car in in my garage in the morning.
My clothier didn't offer me a discount until asking me what I did, who for, and what type of attire was required at work. They asked if I golfed, played tennis, biked, etc. He asked where I have been shopping in the past and showed me the benefits of shopping with them just like this provider did but without personal info. Then he offered me what turned into a $250 discount. After Tony tailored my suits and dress shirts I was hooked.

I still look at suits and buy casual clothes elsewhere just like I see other providers but why have to deal with seeing someone who wants to chat on my dime than show me the door at 55 minutes after finding halfway in that reviews didn't mention the cellulite, stretch marks, and that she snorts like a pig both in bed and out.

I qualified it as being discussed privately so you have to be invited to partake as my offer was made after a session with (OTC) cocktails and tasters beforehand (she bought). It was a price structure that made it so inviting, I almost couldn't say no. I don't like what you do, having to break the ice every time I hobby. I want variety, and I selectively enjoy it but the benefits of seeing someone who knows me vs. a new provider are huge!

There is no business or dancing around trying to get an answer to a question in emails or phone, just a note asking if she could be free at ??? time on ?day. No pimps, dirty incalls, NCNS's and most of all no disappointments in the looks or performance departments. I hope when I relocate to Austin later this year I can find another like her. I do like the fact that there is a better provider/ monger ratio in Austin than in VA or DC.

I have found that attending CK's socials is something like free samples.

You get a chance to meet and greet many ladies and form opinions on which might make a good match for you in a session.

The ladies likewise get an opportunity to do the same with you.

Not a perfect world but have had a lot of successful sessions with ladies I first meet socially via meet and greets.

I am sure that some ladies have declined me also based on what they learned about me at Meet and Greets.

I seriously think you need to find a different hobby. It sounds like you are looking for a date/fuckbuddy not a hooker!
