IN A SHELTER NEED HELP WITH FOOD

I hope the OP is able to get to the resources she needs, so she can help herself and her family.

I've been homeless before, and I know first-hand of how it is to live in the streets and in the homeless shelters.

Nonetheless, I was grateful for people helping me. Even if they were sticking their hands in the goodwill box.

I am not in Texas anymore, but I can wire someone monies to buy her food. Somebody just say the word.

I don't have a bone to pick with Mallory. But if there is a shelter in Dallas that isn't feeding the women housed there, she's not the on,y one in need. It seems like that would be something to call to the attention of whoever funds the shelter (e.g. The city, county, etc.). Do we know any facts about that?

How sad! There's been a string of bad luck for this poor, unfortunate lady. Maybe we could grant some of our appointments to her, or have a food drive benefit. Maybe we could also comprise a list of providers in need, and ladies can pledge their dates to them , while the gents provide food and donations. Also, I'd like to know the name or information on this shelter. I tried to search it with the general location given, yet couldn't find anything. If there is no food being supplied there, I'm curious where funding is going to, and thus that shelter should be dealt with and have consequences for being a shelter, yet not providing food. Anyone know anything?

I am in for giving food and supplies. I would drive from Ft Worth to drop it off. I am gun shy on cash for a few reasons that really don't need to be discussed.

So maybe I'm a snarky asshole, Whirl. There isn't a person alive who can make everybody happy. There will always be some folks, somewhere, who take offense to something somebody says. I could give a fuck if someone gets offended. It can't be avoided so I'm not going to let it bother me in the least. I go above and beyond to help the (truly) less fortunate. Making stupid decisions and suffering the consequences isn't being less fortunate, it's being stupid.

BTW, not all shelters provide food. Some are just a place to sleep.
