JFKjr had an ankle injury. maybe that partially contributed to his death. his instructor says he offered to fly with him that night.
stress may have been a factor in JFK's judgement in flying that night. His magazine was in deep trouble and his marriage was sort of on the rocks.

4700 fps according to faa reports 2 miles from airport. Also interesting fact IFR he had competed training just not faa tested and several reports the weather ( from other pilots ) good 12 + visibility
