So, if I may interpret your statement, you would not call someone who follows the political affiliation of the National Socialist party, Ku Klux Klan or Communist party stupid? Or anyone whose beliefs include polygamy, the exploitation of women as second-class citizens or the elimination of anyone or any country whose religion is not theirs stupid? If I think someone is ignorant, I'll say they're ignorant and provide facts to inform. When I am ignorant, I'll admit my ignorance and ask for help and facts to enlighten me. So, to answer your question.......No, I wouldn't tell them they're stupid. There's a lot of opinions/beliefs that I've seen on the board that I don't agree with. But, I've never once called that person/persons stupid. Obviously, its easy for you to do huh? Originally Posted by MsElena

Awww Scorpio, I'm not looking to pick a fight with anyone when I respond to a post. I speak my mind and believe in what I say. If it comes across as picking a fight, its not meant to.I have no respect for people's opinions based on stupidity. And, I'm too old for tact, or being PC. And, again, I have not called anyone's opinions on this board stupid - let's remember that, please.
But, thanks for the compliment. Also, I love "The West Wing." I stopped watching it after Aaron Sorkin(?) ceased writing.
Back to the topic....
Fritz, Yes, people can be ignorant to certain situations and its a great thing when someone says, "Hey, I don't know all the facts. Can you help me?" I have no problem asking for more information, that's what learning is all about. But, to tell someone their idea or belief is stupid? There's a certain little thing called respect and tact. When you give someone respect, they will give it back to you.
Step outside the box and learn to play nice with others when discussion a topic that you don't share the same belief or you think is stupid. Originally Posted by MsElena
