Beside her truck, which used to cost $100 to fill but now takes $145 to top off, the 30-year-old construction worker feels exasperated as she assesses a $300 grocery bill that shoots up to $400 when she adds vegetables.
"I don't want to say this, but when Donald Trump was here, it was nothing like this," said Godinez, who said she used to lean Republican but has supported Democrats in recent years. Inflation is not stagnant. If it goes up, too fucking bad and adjust accordingly. If it goes down, that's cool too. I don't worry and complain about shit I can't control.
I've never taken a penny from this government for help. I help myself and if others don't want to do that, again I'll simply say, "tough shit" because that's on you... I get killed with taxes but I pay them that help out so many whiney babies crying about shit they should have taken care of on their own like I did so fuck their grocery bill and price of gas complaints. I pay the same but I'm not crying about it.
If she doesn't like paying that much for gas, go get an EV. If she is spending a $100 on veggies (perishable goods so it is highly unlikely she spends that much), what are you buying and buy less if you can't afford it. It's not that complicated.
