Why one woman chose to be a sugar baby and not an escort

A provider's mentality and that of SB are totally different IMO. I do not believe that a woman who is accustomed to having sex with multiple men EVERY Day can live within a SB/SD framework. Originally Posted by molnar

It only gets out if
1, you tell everyone
2, you show your face in your pictures
3, you get arrested and charged for prostitution.

So if you don't tell everyone... not show your face picture and not get arrested. Nobody would know.

I can testify to this. I have been a sex worker for 7 yrs. I started when i was 18 and now iam 25 and nobody knows what i do except for 1 friend who i told just last yr. I decided to finally tell 1 friend out of safety incase anything happens to me.

I go to church every fortnight and most of my friends are people from church and they have no clue. Having said that. I do live in Australia where it is legal so it is much safer to work here and we would not get arrested and suddenly get outted for being a worker.

Just depends on the person I suppose...I would have ino interest in marrying someone who wasn't understanding of my past experiences in hookerworld... Originally Posted by Valerie

Hey Rose,

Those anger management classes were worth every penny. Yes? TFF.

I don't judge providers. I have fucked many providers. I just have moved on.

A SB is different. Just is. I will not have an arrangement with either a stripper or a provider. Just me.
She may be right. She may not. I'm pretty sure there's a large segment of the population that would consider a sugar baby off limits because she is a "gold digger" and "only after his money". what's important is that she is doing what she is comfortable with. In the end we will only find ourselves in happy relationships with people who accept us for who we are, including the choices we have made, without letting their associates weigh in on who they decide to love. I don't think an escort is automatically doomed in relationships. If you do the whole marriage thing right you only need to find one guy who you see eye to eye with.
I am still new to all this but i do feel that if i was in a position to get married that they would completely understand my past and not judge me for it... We all come to situations in our lives that make us do things out of the norm... I personally am very glad i did make this decision and hope that one day it will not be a problem if a relationship is present!

For better or worse-- once you get on eccie or similar sites and get reviews you get labeled as a hooker and that trail is hard to erase. Originally Posted by Seeker

The strong independence it requires to be a good provider is precisely why most providers won't be successful sugar babies. Likewise, sugar babies are usually not independent enough (or financially savvy enough) to be successful as providers.

There is no right or wrong...just two different worlds.

There...I finally got to say what I had to say before this thread gets shut down. Lol.

She wants to be a sugar baby but has never asked me for money. She just wants me to take care of her. Another way to look at it is that SB choose to give up "control" of their lives in exchange for not having to give up their bodies to multiple strange men.

Whereas providers choose not to be at the will of an SD but therefore have to relinquish "control" of their bodies to multiple men.

IMHO there's no difference, the women are still dependent on men for their living expenses. Whether it be once a month wondering if he's going to give you $ to get by or day day waiting for the next man to book your time.

If at any point your SD left you or the appointments stop rolling in, could you support yourself? Let us not forget at any moment anyone could have an accident that deforms our exterior - if so, would the SD still provide? Would the men still pay for your time? Probably not. Bottom line: if you could not stand on your own after they leave, you really have no control at all...do you?

As far as marriage goes, the truth is, very few men would marry a provider if they knew everything. The basis of a relationship is a rock solid foundation - which includes full disclosure.

No man wants to imagine his wife had lots of lovers before him. Sure we all have a past and even I wasn't a virgin when I married but after a certain # of men, you're just not considered wife material to MOST.
Wow. This is getting Deep. Whatever happened to Live and let Live.
Misspriss does make a good point. What happens when the newness wears off, the body ain't the same, the phone stops ringing, or whatever and the money stops coming in????? You Gals might want to think about signing up for AMWAY so you have residules for the future.
I agree. There is nothing wrong in being up front and asking men for what you want. So many men tell me they hate dating a woman who wants something but won't tell him. One woman came out and asked her new beau for a car one day. The poor guy had no idea she was scheming to ask for that.
I've been in both situations and never felt like such a "hooker" as I did when I had a SD. And as far as her answer, wow, it was definitely lacking. In exchange for time, attention, etc, you have to pay. There is no difference. If it makes someone better to think oh im just a SB or oh I'd never have an escort as a SB, is just lying to themselves to make themselves feel better. It's the same thing. And ur not going to be the only guy that she sleeps with for money in her life, it's just like being a provider. It's all about the money. The girls are doing the same thing. Except as said above, the providers have more control of their lives, which is why the SB SD stuff is just controlling and more demeaning in my opinion. Everyone who replied is right in some way but if you can't see the direct correlation, that's scary. lol

This sugar baby was answering the question from the lens of "the rest of her life" after being a sugar baby. She thinks she can hide being a sugar baby because only she and her sd know for sure what's going on . . . and when you're an escort literally hundreds if not thousands of people know about it.

That's her point, not that one is better than the other, one is simply easier to hide than the other.
