GOOGLE VOICE IS AWESOME

GV is great ... The only downside is that when using it for calls on your phone, it will give the lady you called a long distance call number ... if you dial that number from your phone outside GV, it will call the lady you just talked to
If your SO grabs your phone and calls that long distance number you are fried ...
Worst than a Tolltag buddy ...

That would be a potential issue so be careful ...

No weird long distance numbers or anything show up for anyone, no call logs on the phone outside the app, and no record on any bills (at least on Verizon)

Oh and thanks whoever mentioned that vaulty stock app!

Since we are on the topic of covering your tracks.

If you like to take pictures and want to hide them. There are many apps that do this, the one I use is Vaulty Stocks and looks like an app to look up stocks. You have to punch in a password to access any pics or videos that you don't want to be seen in the regular gallery. It also prevents anything from being uploaded to the cloud. Luckily I did not learn this the hard way...
I've also had google voice send my texts to random people at times.

Another thing is that it has stopped ringing when someone calls me on my gv number. A tech friend has reported the same thing. We can't figure out why.
It's free. It's dependable. It works. How many times has an escort called or texted you? Were you glad you were there to answer it and not your wife? With google voice, you don't have to worry about that anymore. You forward google voice to your cell when scouting for a girl. After the session, you uncheck the forwarding box so they can never call you ever. You can also text with google voice. No more skanky phone #'s on your phone bill. No more worrying about divorce lawyer subpoenas of your phone records. Only your google voice # shows up on your phone record no matter who you call. You can also set it up under a bogus name. I've been using it for a couple years now. Remember, SAFETY FIRST... Originally Posted by Cheap Charlie

I downloaded GVPhone for iPhone and works great in terms of privacy ...
The only downside I found while running tests and simulations, is that it doesn't deliver the messages immediately (in my case it delayed them 5 minutes or so) and you cant access your GV contacts from within ...

Again, I like the privacy SIU but how to solve the downside I mentioned?

It occasionally freezes up on my Galaxy Note 3 but other than that I love GV
