A few years back I got hit with depression my child got on drugs, I was trying everything to save her, but as we all know you can't do a dam thing until their ready.I had gone to the doctor with dam near nervous breakdown. I tried the zoloft I just didn't like how I felt. To add I didn't want the pills, more so because my child was on pills. So I decided to go to a all natural oriental doctor. He helped with the depression issues without the drugs.

Their are some scents that will help a lot, essential oils, candles. Scent of lavender is good, peeling a orange the smell of citrus helps.

See if you have a holistic doctor in the area, that might be something to consider.
Here is one in the area http://www.maryzhang.com

I hope you find something that works for you.

Yeah, the holistic approach is best. I've been on Celexa for years, along with heart and diabetes medicine, so it's a challenge for me. Problem is my insurance doesn't cover naturopaths, I'd like to get off these damn things, but I don't want to go back to where I was.

So my hobbying is kind of hit or miss. I still have fun whether everything works or not, and I try to reassure the lady that it isn't her fault. But when it works, it's great. God Bless Cialis!

Thanks for all the great and informative responses. I guess depression is really a gray area- you don't know if it's a short-term thing or if it's going to last years. I just wonder if I should commit myself to these drugs and suffer all the side effects or try something else. I'm in the early stages of treatment, but I'm sure eventually I'll find something that works for me.

COG, I agree that Cialis and Levitra are sent from the gods!

Even when I was not on Zoloft, I occasionally had problems with the equipment, but you're right I always had fun rolling around with a naked, horny lady!

I am with Sami on the holistic and it really ticks me off that insurance wont cover it. They are all about pushing drugs and meds rather than solving the problem. I think they would put less $ out if they paid for other approaches rather then having to cover meds for original issue (depression) and then meds for secondary issues due to the meds for despression.. Hell, geriatrics cant even get their meds paid for and its crappy doctors and insurance companies that have them forced to take them all... half their meds are to counteract the side affects of the other half (here is one for depression and here is one for anxiety.. here is one to help you sleep, but because u sleep so much you must be depressed so here is one for that depression)..

CutePieGuy- I hope that youre careful with the cialis...since youre on heart meds too....but i really did like reading what you put and kudos to you for your positive hobby attitude!!

Lacy, you're absoulutely right about the drug interactions. right now, I'm on Zoloft, xanax, and Ambien. And people wonder why I'm acting odd

I know when my mother was in the nursing home, they had here on so many different drugs, that she was completely screwed-up and then they give her another drug to correct that! The whole medical system is messed up!

Different pshcopharmacuticals affect sex drive and sexual function different. Zoloft, Paxil and Xanax are wonderful anti axiety medications because they sedate or retard the bodies ability to raise its excitement level, which of course is necessary to achieve orgasm. Other medications to include some high blood pressure medications thin the blood which can cause erection problems. Other medications such as effexor can cause you to suffer anti orgasmia which is the ibability to acheive an orgasim but the penis is hard, sort of a dog chasing its tail, you go and go and go but never reach the finish line, this sounds like fun but believe me it sucks.

Great information, Dirty Dog! Really explained it well. I'm also on BP medication which was the original reason for the script for ED drugs.

Thank You for this thread,
I've been taking Zyban for almost two years now to help me quit smoking.
It has now been almost two months since I smoked.
but I never know about the sexual side effects tell reading this thread.
I never noticed any problems with the SO, and the few problems I have had,
I just thought was newbie nerves… which I’m sure really didn’t help matters.

Now that I have quit smoking, I’ve noticed an increase in my stamina. (not gasping for breath)

So this really gives me something to look forward too..
After I'm off the meds and start working out more - Ladies look out..
Elum does that stuff work for people who smoke after sex?...I mean really I smoke after sex...Ive checked!!

Nope, This is not Elena!
