You can't seriously believe that. If she owned a gun, she would have had to go get it before he pulled his on her and fired. Or, if she had it on her at all times, she would have drawn when he drew and they both would have been shooting at each other. What's noticeable, "marks-rocks-with-pee/Af-Freakin" is that you and your ilk continue to ignore Belcher's drunken intention. Furthermore, if you'll update yourself on the news releases, Perkins knew how to shoot, but all of the guns belonged to Belcher. So "no", it's not far-fetched to believe she could have armed herself and defended herself against a drunk and hulking NFL football player had she had a gun herself.
The answer to guns, isn't more guns. More guns doesn't stop people from getting shot, it actually means MORE people get shot.
Guns making killing WAAAY to easy imo.
Sure, he could have killed her without the gun, but it wouldn't have been as easy. That's a fact jack. Originally Posted by markroxny

Belcher could have had a “reflective moment” before he pulled the trigger the first time: but he didn’t. Even before he started, Belcher knew it could only end one way, and that is why he got down on his knees and pulled the trigger for the tenth and final time.
As the saying goes about opinions, each of us has one. And here's one more: If Kasandra Perkins had possessed a gun, she might still be alive today.
BTW, point out where “Second Amendment rights” were mentioned! Chirp! Chirp! Originally Posted by I B Hankering

No one knows all the details about the shooting so we can only speculate. My bet is Belcher had the gun very close to him and didn't have to seek out and retrieve it. And once you start firing, nine shots can be fired in a matter of seconds.
As you stated, "if Kasandra Perkins had possessed a gun, she might still be alive today". Very possible. Just as possible is that if Belcher had not owned a gun both would be alive today. Originally Posted by SpeedRacerXXX

He made reference to a pro head football coach who, after the shootings, asked his team in the locker room how many had guns. 80% raised their hands. Here are guys earning millions of dollars, living in, I'm sure, very safe neighborhoods, and almost all of them see a need to own a gun? As one caller-in stated, it's the nature of the beast.
He had so much rage inside that he preferred a much more intense and more dramatic method of death.
. . . Nevertheless, the fundamental problem in not guns, it's general ignorance and hatred. Originally Posted by Fast Gunn
