From reading your post.
I guess you had to leave a lot out.
But sounds like you truly did help her out. By things she truly needed food, bills you took her to the hospital so you know she is not lying about her condition you bought her medicine.
So on the up side she did not scam you for money you thought where for medical issues and bought shoes or went on vacation.
Sounds to me it was a charity case and can't that be claimed on taxes? $1,000.00 for prescriptions, medical bills, bills and rent so someone will not be homeless?
A good deed persuaded to be done by lies and deceit will only come back on the person who said the lies. BUT A GOOD DEED IS STILL A GOOD DEED and will be rewarded. KARMA
