Wowzers! Lot's of specious news (**cough, **cough) sources collected here. Let's see if I have them all assembled, in no particular order:
- GLAAD - LGBTQ advocacy organization
- ABC - the Always Been Clinton network
- Ground Media - pioneering the fusion of research and storytelling
- Data for Progress - the think tank for the future of progressivism
- Vox - It’s not alarmist: A second Trump term really is an extinction-level threat to democracy
- The Bulwark - was founded to provide analysis and reporting in defense of America’s liberal democracy. That’s it. That’s the mission.
- Last, but not least - Lil' ole' you
Shoot howdy, I didn't even realize Vox was still in business. Regardless, you can keep your shoes and socks on during the math portion contained herein.
So the collective brain trust above has determined that the Trump campaign has expended somewhere between 33%(ABD/Vox)-66%(The Bulwark) of their advertising dollars towards alienating less than 1/2 of 1% of the US population?
"...Given that trans people make up barely half of 1 percent of the US adult population..." BTW: Assuming that is "voting age" only. Let's assume it is for sake of argument, though Pew Research pegs the over all total closer to 1.5 percent.
I would intuitively question looking through that end of the binoculars. Would not the more glaringly obvious conclusion therefor be: The Trump campaign has expended 100% of their advertising dollars towards compelling 99.5% of the voting population to vote for them?!?
BTW: I almost hesitate to mention it, but most of the "alleged" ads are very specifically targeted to "incarcerated" folk of that ilk. I'm not entirely sure of their overall incarceration rate, but suspect it to be pretty low. Maybe in the 2%-3% on the high end. So that means 2%-3% of 1/2% of a percent of the population is directly targeted. That is super-double-duper miniscule.
You know... the thing... the Greater Good... Come on man!
