Date with a Civilian

But you could also reduce costs by not worrying so much about screening, and legal issues.

Also, you would probably have to contend with more competition, which has a lowering effect on prices (barring any kind of union or collective price setting).

In countries where prostitution is legal and taxed, prices are generally about the same or lower than in places with similar economies where prostitution is illegal but tolerated. Originally Posted by KCQuestor

seriously, it all depends on what one is looking for - shorter term or longer term interactions.

i've met some really interesting women in this sub-culture over the past 12+ yrs. the longest "provider/client" relationship was 4 1/2 yrs.
currently, most of the women on my go-visit-her-again i've only known for less than 2 yrs! one i've known for 3 yrs and another for 3.5 yrs.

so, if anyone wants a longer term interaction [but not a real-life relationship] w/ a provider, it's possible, but i'd say the odds are pretty low.
I had a date with a civilian last night. My first date since wandering into the hobby. After two hours of listening to her talk about her recently-ex husband, her son who lives with her and doesn't have a job or go to school, her recent nightmare dates and her endless financial difficulties, I was left again wondering why I should want to get back into the dating scene, looking for a relationship.

Maybe it didn't help that I had a threesome the night before.

I guess I'm preaching to the choir here. Anyone out there actually want to "date"? If not, why not? If so, what are you doing here and what do want out of a girlfriend you can't get from a provider?

I'd be interested in hearing providers' views on this too. Originally Posted by clusterlizard

Legalize, never. Decriminalize most definitely. Toughen up laws for Pimps and traffickers, hell yes. Tax if you want, I don't care.

I was talking about outside the US, so there are of course other variables involved.

A civie girl wont even know what that code word is. If she does she might have some "explaining" to do.

That was due to a loophole in the law where prostitution wasn't actually defined. They closed it a while back.

Edit: here are the details from Wikipedia:
Prostitution was legal in Rhode Island between 1980 and 2009 because there was no specific statute to define the act and outlaw it, although associated activities were illegal, such as street solicitation, running a brothel, and pimping.

Actually she was a real slut (the good kind).....hell I was just a nice Catholic alter boy when I met her.

I never knew all the wonderful kinky things you could do with everyday items like water, ice cubes, duct tape, scarf, to-do-list, just to name a few.

She brought a whole new meaning to the phrase...."Please pass the butter"
