Just to be clear, the fact that trump owns retail rental space- and is POTUS at the time, and then the chinese decide to rent space anywhere in the USA, they pick NYC, and they pick a place, that just so happens to be owned by Trump, has his name on the building, and there is no other place they could rent, say out in Flushing NY, where the rest of the Chinese live in that city??

Who was POTUS then? It sure as hell wasn't trump. He didn't even come down the Trump Tower escalator to announce he was running until 7 years later!!
And why the fuck would the Chinese seek to curry favor with a guy who made no secret of the fact he is a FLAMING PROTECTIONIST who wants to slap stiff tariffs on all of their exports to the United States? As POTUS the guy did everything in his power to encourage US businesses to shun China and bring all their factories and production back to our shores!
Imagine if say any president had a foundation while they were POTUS, and then they received endowments or deposits from other people, or foreign nationals, and those nationals were visiting to get some favorable business deals? Would that be fraught with the possible improprieties...
