Very surprised no one has mentioned The Eagles. They never recorded a bad song..

Just please do NOT say Justin (lezbo look-alike) Bieber!

PSD.. Have to agree with you on the Eagles. Broke up for 15 years and are as good as ever
with songs like Tube Snake Boogie, Pearl Necklace, Cover your Rig. Backdoor Love Affair, and who can forget LaGrainge it has to be ZZ Top.

AC/DC works tooo
I agree with PSD. Any mention of Bieber should immediately close this thread.

By the way, I like Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. Best British Sounding Group that really isn't British in the biz.

Who would you tell me to check out immediately and say "they're the best out there right now?" Thanks. Originally Posted by TexasT

That tells you how bad the current rock scene is.

would be great to see a thread on great past & present local bands/musicians, like the Toadies and Ten Hands, etc.
So how many of you actually saw some of these bands live? In the late 60's and 70's? I was honored to see these bands, all before 1975:

The Doors (Jim actually behaved)
Led Zep
Rolling Stones
Grateful Dead (when they had the wall of 500 speakers behind them)
Eagles (at my college, helped set up as a roadie)
Allman Brothers (before Duane and Berry Oakley were killed on their cycles)
Lynyrd Skynyrd (before the plane crash)
Yes (the original guys)

My only regret was not seeing Pink Floyd and Bob Dylan with The Band as backup. Was offered tickets, couldn't go.

Anybody like 311?
dave mathews band! and once again i'll say it TOOL! PANTERA, 3 DOORS DOWN,
MARILYN MANSON, DAVE MATHEWS BAND, WHIT5E ZOMBIE, ROB ZOMBIE SOLO,
CREED (YES I KNOW, BUT I LIKE THAT SONG!), 4 NON BLONDS, AND EMINEM IS WHITE BUT NOT ROCK, CLOSE THOUGH. BUT HE DOES GO HARD!
LINCOLN PARK, SLIPKNOT, INSANE CLOWN POSSEY (ICP)!

OH YEAH, STYX
