Reggie Bush!!!
Oh wait, wrong draft.
Reggie reminded me a little of Sweetness this weekend. I didn't know he could be that physical.
The Texans may have not thought Rice or Greene were right at the time. I looked at both of these players and believed them to be great fits for the Texans. That coupled with the fact that on draft day 2009 the Texans offense was considered to be a team strength. Meanwhile the Texans team defense was in serious need of immediate attention! If you still felt that Rice or Greene were better fits for the Texans than Cushing and Barwin on draft day 2009 and you had prior knowledge that the Texans would get less than 850 rushing and receiving yards from Steve Slaton in 2009, perhaps you should consider logging onto www.houstontexans.com and applying for the GM job. Who knows, you might be able to convince the Texans owner to shit-can Rick Smith and hire you! Nothing ventured, nothing gained!
The texans wanted Shonne Greene but the jets took him before the texans could draft him. The Texans have drafted really good during the smith/ Kubiak era. It's the knuckleheads before them that really hurt the franchise. Think about 2005 nfl draft. One of the worst in the decade. Originally Posted by simpletonYou nailed that one.

Yes, he had a great game this past weekend. He was due, but one good game, everybody thinks he should have been here.I felt from the beginning that Reggie Bush should have been the Texans pick that year. When they decided to go with Mario, I was disappointed at first but I understood the rationale behind the decision. With that said, there is no way that Reggie Bush has not had as consistent of a pro career as Mario. In hindsight I agree with you, Mario was a much better choice for the Texans than Reggie would have been.
He's a great return man, and THIS YEAR the Saints realized he's best catching a screen pass, and he's been good at that, but he is not a good running back. He has yet to hit a 1000 yard rushing season. Even Slaton rushed for 1200 yards last year. Bush, this past year, has only rushed for 390 yards on 70 carries. He did get 335 receiving yards. Still, only 725 yards is NOT a top-notch career everybody should drool over. Originally Posted by metal_head

He would really fit the bigger guy pound it in style.
But I doubt that he will still be there when we pick. Originally Posted by Gator42
