....he really is one of the "good" guys in this community. From my selfish perspective, I will miss his participation here.
On the other hand...
His departure confirms what I've long suspected. At some point, one no longer "needs" to be here. There's no concrete benefit to continuing to participate. At that point, one continues to participate because one "wants" to; or, one does not.
