Though he was not convicted of perjury he did have to surrender his law license and pay a $300,000 fine. He is also not allowed to argue in front of the Supreme Court again in his lifetime.

It is official that he lied under oath and that lie affected the outcome of the trial. Kind of like convicting someone of manslaughter but not murder. They, like you, can always claim that they were not convicted of the more serious charge but ignore that they were convicted of the act.
