I have personally seen first hand the shit show that it is on the border and for someone to say it is not an open border is completely naive. Tell this to the people who live there and try and make a living farming and ranching in the area that there is not a open border issue and watch how fast you get laughed back to city life. Now that is down right hilarious. We may not have a current open border policy but the current administration has allowed it to become a shit show down there. And don't even go down the road of saying that I am denigrating the hard working men and women working to protect our border. I currently have a cousin who is an Ice agent down there as well as a childhood friend also stationed there. They will be the first to tell you that the current administration is the problem. Maybe you should just get out of your comfort zone in the city and pay a visit to the border and talk to some residents there to truly understand the situation.
