Has One Post Ever Killed It...

JD -

In regards to your original question...
Yes, I will have men talk to me in chat, and as they are asking if I am available (and I just might be) I have gone to look at their posting history (true story) and seen that their obsessive posts about a particular subject turned me off so bad, I immediately said, "Sorry, I'm not available today."

Typically I am looking to see how new they are and if they even have a chance of me getting them cleared (provider references). Their posting history is usually a bonus for me to get a feel for them.

I know my own posting history can be a blessing or a curse on whether or not a client would consider seeing me. I probably tend to post in patterns, depending if I'm following a certain thread or not. But what many may not see is that I try to level out my "wit, outspokenness, & sarcasm" with "sincerity, fair advice, & productive member of eccie" type posts. I know that may sound a little bull shittish (is shittish a word?) but I am a Gemini. It is in my nature to balance both sides out. I don't know why - it just always has been.

And then regarding the PhD stuff.
Well - I don't know about those people - but I am busting my ass to go to college and maybe I'm not so humble about it...but I'm fucking EXCITED and I love it and at the age of 35 and being a single mom and having a full time job on top of it, I am proud of myself. This is still a bit new to me (2nd semester) so I don't have a degree yet nor am I throwing it in anyone's faces and no, I wouldn't like some pompous mother fucker doing that either. But I don't see anything wrong with the girls who are legitimately going to school.

I can see the ones who really are - as they are ramping up for classes at the same time as I am. To the others - well, I'm sorry they are able to get one over on others. That's just karma waiting to get them. That's all.
I know my own posting history can be a blessing or a curse on whether or not a client would consider seeing me.
It's a definite plus for me if a lady posts. It give me a clearer picture of what she is like, her attitude and personality. The ads (either on ECCIE or P411) don't cut it. Far as I'm concerned, if I opt to see a lady from her ECCIE ad or P411 listing, I'm getting a pig (well, maybe not literally) in a poke. But if I can get a feel for her personality from her postings, it can make me pull the trigger. I will say I have seen ladies because of their postings alone. Had it been left up to me to choose them from their ads or P411 listings, I would not have. And, for the most part, IMHO, we have had the best sessions.

bull shittish (is shittish a word?)
I would argue that "bullshit" is one word, and that "bullshittish" is also a word. Just like when I ask my daughter when she'll be home, and she says, "oh, around fivish."

I guess I should give fair background. When I say my posting history can be a blessing and a curse - it's because I have been called things from "smart, clever & witty" to "vulgar, mean, & a bully" for simply saying what I think.

Not that I give a flying fuck what anyone thinks about me. I was just stating those things for the record. What I am in my day to day life and what type of person I am matters to me. I'm true to myself. THAT'S what matters.

I rarely post ads (I absolutely despise them) and I'd much rather have clients that take the time to get a feel for me based on what they have learned about me on here. Those are the sessions that go better, the clients that come back time and time again - and usually - they have things in common with me, similar twists in humor (hey, if they didn't, they probably wouldn't get what I was saying in the 1st place) and for some reason, I attract a lot of engineers and math geeks (me likey).

Basically - my "board" self is probably a bit of an exaggeration of what you get to meet in person. Yeah, I'm sure I play it up a bit, because this is FUN. But also, in person, I tend to be more submissive BCD. I am not some psycho-analysist, maybe they'd have way to explain it. But I just do me. In the end, I keep it as FUN as I can.

Is it an AD? - in the long run - sure it is. But it's way better this way then some fake ass stuff I have to put together that will be on page ten in less than two hours.

I've lost at least one date because of my posting. probably more. One lady just laughed at me before she blew me off and declined a date.

Often times the meaning of a post gets lost in the translation.
Example...

I could say," Help your father Jack, off the horse." Or I could say," Help your father jack off the horse." Two very different meanings but both have the same exact words. So for me one post would not matter. I'm there to bang her not mindless chitchat with that akward silence every now and then.
