LA, SF or London? Or Somewhere else...

Indeed! I almost never meet a true Native Californian, and I have lived there off and on for 35 years. It seems to me that when two people meet in Cali, the one who has been there longest is considered a "Native Californian"

Guess all the true native-borns should consider it a compliment - it is a beautiful and unique place. Originally Posted by topguntex

Well thats good. Jerry Brown is desperate for any tax money you might pay.
I need a job first ...I SO would get back into escorting, but hubby does not approve.

re: Native Californians

and for that matter any other city with large migratory populations...

I consider a "Native" to be anyone that went to high school there locally

I've found if you want to tell real quick how transient a locale is you ask someone, "Where ya from?"

If they answer with the name of their high school it is a pretty tight knit, old school community. If they answer with the name of another state or country it is a pretty free flowing town.
The counterpoint to states with large migratory populations is Maine. There, if you're 98 years old and lived every day in the state except the day you were born, you're an outsider.
