texting

If you're using google voice make sure you delete previous text so you won't accidentally bombard a lady with silly stuff meant for a buddy.

Ooops!

Happened to me a few weeks back but the awesome lady was cool about it.

All this chatter and no additional thread from Natalie. Great promotional stunt.

Do you want this forum to become a sausage fest?
I just love it when someone gets offended when I text back May I ask whose number this is?

Lol but most guys are cool about it and some are pleasantly surprised when I do know who they are. Originally Posted by Raquel de Milo

I have a few UTR connections that are not quite as careful as they should be about deleting texts on their phone.

In addition, unless I know the coast is clear for sure, I never text anything that might tip off even which sex is texting.

Also, I lock my hobby phone and it is a "low end" older smart phone. My excuse for carrying it? It is the same make as my badass smart phone but most importantly my reason for keeping it plugged in and with me is for the spare battery in case my "real phone" eats up the battery.

I keep it on silent and only unlock it and check it when I am alone.

one can bump or post on old threads at any time [tho, they should know some posters might comment about it].
the only eccie guideline wrt posting on old threads applies to reviews.
see guideline #13 in http://www.eccie.net/announcement.php?f=5

suggestions are one things, but "you should ..." kind of replies are, imho, rather presumptuous. in my opinion, providers and client alike dont need people telling them what they should or shouldn't do. one can say "it might work if ...", "my suggestion is ...", or "here's something i do that works for me ...". but to presume what the other person "should" do ??

hence, i'll follow my own lesson and reword but will repost what i posted back in january when this thread first started. i think it still applies.
"seriously, i think that if both sides perform the appropriate research and communicate pretty clearly, they can lessen the probability of problems and raise the probability of success.

1. women, please state [in ads, showcase, signature, wherever] the BEST way for a guy to communicate w/ you for the first time [pm, email, p411, phone, text].

2. guys, if you're contacting a woman for the first time, follow her instructions. dont be surprised if she doesnt respond if you didnt follow her instructions. [for pyramider, including a photo of his 1.3" dangle of death is exempt from all guidelines :^]

3. once communication has been established and your consulting appt arranged, decide what's the best way for you two to communicate in the future.

if either of you dont follow these simple suggestions, then deal with what comes at you. and dont complain about it :^)"
