Where has the passion gone?

Interesting discussion and pov's above.

Over the decades in which I have hobbied I have found many simularities and differences common and uncommon among both providers and hobbyists.

For example, people I have known from both genders quite often enter the hobby from what I call "personal relationship boredom" which usually has little to do with the sexual side of the relationship, but quite often takes the blame.

Others enter the hobby due to the money aspects: males, because they can afford the hobby; ladies, because they benefit financially and, at times, the very personal attention they receive from clients.

As for genuine provider/hobbyist relationships ... yes, those can be and usually may exist for months, even years. But among the hundreds and maybe even thousands of hobbying men and women I have known over the years, perhaps a handful have been successful in the long run, even with actual marriage and children involved.
