SJ, please correct me if I'm wrong, but my understanding is that you can be charged with prostitution in Texas if you offer something of value, even goods or services. I realize that most of time the value is from money, but my understanding is that in the bartering context, if there are specific discussions of offering goods or service in exchange for sex acts then one could be charged with prostitution.

I say this all of the time! I hate it when a client asks me questions like "is bbbj included in your 300/hr special?" I don't want to have to agree to a sexual act for money. I try to explain all of the time to be discreet when you talk to me because it's called solicitation of prostitution. You could very well be just a horny client but how do I know that? Because it sounds like something a cop would say... That's really all they need it's not about what you do it's about what you say when you agree to a sex act for money then that is all that is needed for you to get caught up

Shyster,

I think I know the answer but....

Lets say a hobbiest contacts a provider here through an IM. He lists in that IM the activities he would like do, gives the amount of time he would like those in, and what time he wants to start and also never mentions money.

She then confirms with, " great I'll see you at 3. Call xxx-xxx-xxxx, when you are at x intersection. "

He calls the number from his prepaid hobby phone and she directs him to her incall never discussing activities or money on the phone.

Because neither mentioned money, are they both safe, should either party turn out to be holding a badge?

No activities were discussed on the phone that the guy at the door showed up with, makes a difference?

Homework: Look up the definition of "or."

The method of communication is irrelevant. If you're thinking about asking me if you used two paper cups and string, my answer would be the same. If you spoke in Russian, my answer would be the same. If you danced the twist while discussing specific sex acts or money, my answer would be the same.

Thank you for this post, it's very helpful. I would like to ask, how would I find out an overnight donation for a provider if it's not posted and not get into trouble?

Goddamn it!

I'm just starting out in this fucking hobby shit, and what you are saying should be obvious, but I messed up today. I just booked with a provider and did exactly what you said not to do through a PM (after asking her if it was OK). It wasn't even that important, but should I just cancel now for my safety?
