Funny how you think I should explain Ben Carson's economic views to you. I'm not his communications director or spokesman. Nor have I endorsed him as a candidate. You, on the other hand, constantly profess your love for Bernie the Socialist - yet you can't explain how all of his free-lunch giveaways will be paid for or how the economy is supposed to be helped by his trickle-up-poverty proposals.

Having said that, there's nothing in your link that shows Carson has an "obvious lack of knowledge" on the economy. In fact, the author even notes that the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) AGREES with Carson that the federal budget could be balanced in short shrift (2 years according to the CBO, even faster than the "3 to 4 years" suggested by Carson) if we merely freeze spending at its current nominal level.

And Carson is obviously correct when he says a balanced budget would eliminate the need to keep raising the debt limit. If I spend no more than I take in, there's no need for me to keep borrowing. Anyone can understand that. The WaPo author is the only dunce who doesn't get it.
