The Deep State or the Steady State?

We will see in less than 9 weeks just how much the voters in this country approve of Donald Trump's time as POTUS. .... Originally Posted by SpeedRacerXXX

The 2014 United States elections were held on Tuesday, November 4, 2014, in the middle of Democratic President Barack Obama's second term. During this midterm election year, all 435 seats in the United States House of Representatives and 36 of the 100 seats in the United States Senate were contested; along with 39 state and territorial governorships, 46 state legislatures (except Louisiana, Mississippi, New Jersey, and Virginia),[1] four territorial legislatures, and numerous state and local races. This midterm election became the most expensive in history, with total spending reaching $3.7 billion (including spending by outside entities[2]), while producing the lowest turnout since 1942 at only 36.4%.[3][4][5]
The elections saw sweeping gains by the Republican Party in the Senate, House, and in numerous gubernatorial, state, and local races. The Republicans gained control of the Senate for the first time since 2006, and increased their majority in the House.[6] The Republicans also gained two seats in governors' races.[7] This election marked the fourth consecutive midterm election in which party control of at least one chamber of Congress changed hands.
Overall, the elections resulted in the largest Republican majority in the entire country in nearly a century, with 54 seats in the Senate, 247 (56.78%) in the House, 31 governorships (62%), and 68 state legislative chambers. Moreover, Republicans gained their largest majority in the House since 1928, the largest majority in Congress overall since 1928, and the largest majority of state legislatures since 1928.[8][9][10]

So you confirm Obaminable was doing a lousy job. I agree.

Of course we'll see.

Then you can blame the Russians, again!

I agree. We shall see in Nov, whether Trump's doing well or not, by whether we get a red or blue wave.. I am seriously hoping for the RED wave. Originally Posted by garhkal

Oh well.

Yes, Obama was repudiated soundly in 2010. I voted for Obama primarily for one reason -- my 401k was in the ditch thanks to the recession. Months after Obama took office the DJIA was at 6626. 2 years later, in November 2010, the DJIA was at 11444. That's an increase of 72% in less than 2 years in office!!! Yet even with all the economic success under Obama, he was rejected by voters in 2010, even though YOU believe the mid-term elections are unrelated to the performance of the incumbent POTUS.

Today, Trump admitted that he wasn’t the greatest president ever. Over and over and over again.

He says “nobody has done a better job” than him.

I’ll buy that.

I think the country would be better off with nobody.

If the Democrats win only 4 additional seats in the House I would not deem it close to a "Blue Wave".

My opinion for a Blue Wave would be Democrats taking control of both the House AND the Senate. Or the Democrats winning an additional 40+ seats in the House and not losing any seats in the Senate. There are other scenarios that I say would be significant victory for Democrats but not come under the category of a Blue Wave.

How pregnant is pregnant?

A 1-0 win looks the same in the standings as a 10-0 win.

It’s all about achieving the goal of extracting the lunatic Trump and his band of dipshits from our national life.

Last night, David Axelrod suggested that “amonymous” might actually be EVERYBODY in the cabinet, each taking one sentence or paragraph, like the killer in “Murder on the Orient Express.”

I could see how the op-ed might have been a collaborative effort, the work of the Steady State. But I couldn’t see Perry, Carson or DeVos participating. One can’t read, one can’t concentrate and one can’t see.

We’ll see after Trump spends the rest of his election cycle interrogating every single member of his administration, won’t we IBH?

I think the author should come forward and identify the rest of the resistance. They don’t get a pass for stopping 10% of the lunacy in the White House. But they have exposed the GOP as the party that now values loyalty to a man over allegiance to country and constitution.

He’s quickly losing control of himself.

Bob Woodward’s book is also fiction, IBH? All of it?

C-SPAN is far removed from the echo chamber of the lame-stream media that most lib-retards live in and where they receive their daily dose of pablum prescribing what they, the viewers, should think and do.

Neither Woodward's book nor this op-ed will stop Kavanuagh from being confirmed before the next court convenes in October, and they will both soon be relegated to the dust bin of history where they belong.

Michael Jackson’s doctor??? What does he have to do with this discussion? Or are you simply blowing dog whistles about ancient racial stereotypes?

You may want to believe it’s the work of the “lib-retards” and whatever other institutions for which you jingoistically echo euphemisms. You may even discount it as fiction.

But at least one person knows if it’s true.

And he’s losing his shit all over the White House, ordering the DOJ to find “amonynous” and demanding the NYT “turn over” “amonynous” to protect national security.
